As the daughter of two Army parents, Jennifer Sanders is known all over the world, but considers herself a Texan, spending most of her life in San Antonio, Texas. She attended college at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications and Spanish. She attended graduate school at the University of North Texas in Denton, receiving a Masters Degree in Journalism. At her graduation, she started working on the CW a liate in Dallas-Fort Worth as a writer and web producer. From there she went to the ABC a liate in Sherman, Texas, where she was a reporter and host for the station’s weekly community an air show. She started at NewsChannel 9 in Syracuse in February of 2012. She is currently a reporter there and anchors the weekend evening newscasts. She’s a member of the People’s A.M.E. Zion Church and a part of the mentoring program in the Syracuse City School District. She works closely with several community programs to help the elderly and she also volunteers for local organizations geared at helping minority youth striving for excellence in the Central New York community.
